Confusion remains over Assembly Hall charges
Thanks to the pressure from the people who attended the Community Council Meetings and your local Conservative Councillors, the hire charges for the Assembly Hall have been revised.
There is even a scheme for concessionary charges for local charities. What a pity then that in order to be considered for a concession the council makes each organisation fill in a 15 page application form. In addition, even despite the change in hire charges very few local organisations will actually be able to afford the council's charges if they want to use the hall at weekends.
