No Highams Park High Rise

The proposed development of a 9 storey tower block overlooking Highams Park station, would totally change the character of the area for the worse.

A building of this height is out of keeping with the rest of the centre of Highams Park, which is mostly two and three storeys.

Not only will the proposed new homes increase pressure on already stretched local infrastructure (Schools, Doctors, utilities etc), with no parking for new residents, the wider community will once again bear the brunt of the consequences of a flawed design.

The recent, overwhelming support for the adoption of the Highams Park Neighbourhood Plan shows that local residents do not want to see Highams Park become a high-rise town centre.

You can help us stop these plans, so show you care and sign our petition now and demonstrate to the Council and developer that we do not want to blight our community like this. Should these proposals come forward as a formal Planning Application, we will submit the petition in objection.
