SIGN THE PEITITION BELOW TO STOP THE SEWARDSTONE HIGH-RISE
Planning Application 220957 - 64 Sewardstone Road, Chingford, London, E4 7PR - Construction of blocks rising to 8 stories, containing 41 flats and 10 parking spaces.
The above planning application has been lodged at 64 Sewardstone Road - the site opposite the Shell Petrol Station and McDonalds.
The building proposed would be too dense and out of character with the local area. The low public transport accessibility also makes the 'car-free' element of this design deeply flawed. You can view the application here - searching for application no. 220957.
As your local Conservative action team, we oppose this plan and have called it in to the planning committee. By calling in the application it means if planning officers are minded to grant approval the proposal will also have to go to a public planning committee of Councillors.
At that point, if officers have been minded to approve the application, we want to be able to show the weight of public opposition and so are asking you to help by signing the below petition.
While the advertised end date of consultation is the 10/05/2022, due to this being called in, comments and objections can be taken up until planning committee stage (if officers have not already refused the application). Attached below are a number of planning reasons to object to the proposals, we encourage you to submit an objection as well as signing the petition. If there are issues with the portal please submit comments direct to the planning officer - Laurence.Ackrill@walthamforest.gov.uk copying in your local councillors (Chingford Green: Mitchell Goldie, Kay Isa & Sazimet Palta-Imre. Endlebury: Roy Berg & Emma Best.)
