Extra police on the streets? More CCTV in crime hotspots? New streetlights on your road? Whatever your priorities to make Chingford and Woodford Green safer, I want to hear them. So why not fill in this short survey?
It’s no secret that police numbers are falling under this Labour government.
So far, the country is down over 2,100 officers.
But you don’t need to know the numbers to see the change. Just look around: theft is up, anti-social behaviour is up, and shoplifting is at a record high.
Something needs to change.
That’s why the Conservatives will recruit an extra 10,000 police officers and introduce targeted patrols of the country’s 2,000 worst crime hotspots.
But our community needs a real team focused on cutting crime, right now.
Together with local people, my Conservative team and I are drawing up a local plan to cut crime in our area – and I want to know what your top priorities are.
When Sadiq Khan closed Woodford Police Station, we campaigned together and delivered a new Woodford Police Hub, keeping our local officers local. That’s what a determined local campaign can achieve, and it’s exactly the kind of result your priorities will help us fight for next.
Your help will make sure our plan makes things safer on your street.
It takes just sixty seconds to complete, and you can send it back using the freepost envelope provided. Your response will make sure that local police are focused on the concerns of residents.
Every single response will be read, and I’ll raise your issues directly with the local police at our next regular meeting. So please fill in this short survey – and together, let’s build a plan to make our community safer.
