We have been contacted by a number of concerned residents regarding the planning application "Land to the rear of 1-11 Lambourne Gardens, Chingford, E4 7SG Planning application No. 203073"
It is our view that the grounds for refusal of the last application for residential development on this piece of land still apply and, therefore, we have written to Waltham Forest Council asking this application is refused. Find attached a copy of our objection letter.
We are encouraging local residents to write to Waltham Forest planning objecting to this application, using the below points by emailing dmconsultations@walthamforest.gov.uk quoting planning application 203073.
🛑 The proposal remains out of keeping with the character of the established pattern of the development in the area.
🛑 The location remains unsuitable for residential development and does not enhance or preserve the character of the local area due to the proposal failing to achieve a high-quality design which responds to existing context or integrate successfully.
🛑 The proposed development would result in a cramped and unsatisfactory form of living environment for the future occupiers. This is because it fails to meet minimum space standard requirements for the internal accommodation for the proposed bedrooms of the dwelling.
🛑 The proposal fails to demonstrate how the development would achieve the highest standards of fire safety in regard to its design in incorporating appropriate features which reduce the risk to life in the event of a fire, its construction methods, means of escape, strategy of evacuation and providing suitable access and equipment for firefighting appropriate for the size and use of the development.
