£12.50 to drive to Whipps Cross - Labour's new tax on driving

Sadiq Khan is proposing to extend the Ultra Low Emission Zone out from central London all the way to the A406/205 ring.

Imagine you're retired. You bought a good diesel car (on Government advice) and can't afford to change it. Labour's new tax means it will cost you £12.50 to drive to Whipps Cross hospital.

Or maybe you're a cleaner, or a carer. Working hard, visiting lots of clients all over the local area. You need your car, to do your job, but that means paying £62.50 a week just to go to work.
