We are working with local residents to secure the future of the Larkshall Public House in Larkshall Road. Parts of the building date from the 16th Century, making it one of the oldest buildings in Chingford and we want to see it continue to be used as a pub.
Right now, the lease to Greene King, who were operating the pub, has expired and we don’t know what the owners are planning. We are trying to find out and our MP, Sir Iain Duncan Smith has asked them to meet with him.
Your local councillors are working with residents to engage with potential operators as this much-loved pub offers an amazing business opportunity for the right vendor.
Council pubs policy requires the Larkshall Tavern to be marketed as a pub for two years before an application for residential development can be considered. However, we’d like to keep you informed of what is going on, so we will need you to give us an e-mail address. If a Planning Application is submitted at some time in the future, we will contact you with advice on what to do if you want to object.

I, the undersigned, support retaining the Larkshall as a public house and oppose any plans to redevelop it.
